ABOUT
I am Alex and I have made the transition from full time electrician to the education sector. I know the pitfalls and where you may want some extra support.
I currently run Trades Education Recruitment as well as working full time in the private sector teaching, assessing and performing a lead IQA role. I have successfully helped friends and co-workers to come off the tools and into education for many years, now I wish to do this for more people.
Originally I moved from my role as an electrician to an on-site assessor as I felt more comfortable in this role. Then I started covering for the full time teacher and took classes in the workshop and the classroom. I am now qualified to assess in centre or on site. I also have been supported to become a qualified teacher and have recently gained my IQA qualifications.
